Yes, Jokulsarlon is better known but it looks like an amusement park with tons of people and multiple vendors offering tours by raft, amphibious vehicle, and kayak. But Fjallsarlon is quiet and peaceful. There are just 2-3 rafts on the lake at a time with friendly, knowledgeable guides. The lake is small enough to see and get close to the glacier that is calving the floating icebergs. After stopping at Jokulsarlon and seeing the zoo there, we’re really glad we reserved our raft trip at Fjallsarlon.
