For the Iceberg boat tours, children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult and the minimum age is 5 years old. The age limit for the Glacier hike is 14 years old and the Ice Floating tour is 15 years old. Children over 8 years old are welcome to join the Ice cave tour.
We recommend dressing in warm layers for all our tour, as the weather can change quickly, and it can be quite cold on the water and on the glaciers. A hat, gloves, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes are essential for the boat tours and ankle high hiking shoes for the glacier activities.

We provide all necessary equipment, including a high-quality, immersive suit that covers your entire body. But we do recommend that you wear warm clothing, especially socks and gloves.
No, you should not get wet. The provided immersive suit is fully waterproof and insulated, keeping you dry and warm during the experience.
Yes, the activity is conducted under the strict supervision of trained guides. You will wear a fully enclosed flotation suit designed for maximum safety.
Participants must generally be between the ages of 16 and 65, in good physical health, and must fit securely into the provided flotation suits. Minimum height of 150 cm.
Natural ice cave season typically runs from mid-October to mid April, when temperatures are low enough to ensure the ice is stable. Availability is always weather-dependent.
The difficulty varies by tour. Our standard Ice Cave and Glacier tours involve moderate hiking on uneven, possibly slippery terrain. Participants must be able to walk unassisted for up to 1-2 hours. Specific tour pages detail the required fitness level.
You should bring warm, waterproof clothing in layers, waterproof high ankle hiking boots (required for ice travel), a hat, gloves, and sunglasses. We provide essential safety gear, including helmets, harnesses, and crampons.

95% refund until 48 hours prior to departure. Please note that a 5% cancellation fee is collected to cover credit card fees. Fjallsárlón is located off the Ring Road (Route 1) in Southeast Iceland. Detailed directions and GPS coordinates can be found on our Location and contact page. It is approximately a 4.5-hour drive from Reykjavik.
All tours check in at the main reception building at Fjallsárlón. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time.
Yes, there is ample free parking available for all visitors near the check-in location.
Our guides continuously monitor the weather conditions. If the weather forecast indicates poor conditions that may affect safety or the quality of the tour, we may need to postpone or cancel the tour. We will notify you as soon as possible if this is the case.
Yes, for your safety, tours are occasionally cancelled due to severe weather, unsafe conditions (like heavy winds, blizzards, or unstable ice), or other unforeseen circumstances. If your tour is cancelled, we will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Rescheduling is possible, subject to availability, and may be done free of charge if requested more than 24 hours before your tour date.
A full refund is provided if the tour is cancelled by us due to weather or safety concerns. For customer cancellations, a full refund (minus an administrative fee) is usually granted if cancellation is received more than 48 hours prior to the tour.
