Fjallsárlón Zodiac Boat Tour Details
On the Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoon Iceberg Boat Tour, each boat carries up to 12 passengers on board. If your group is larger than 12 people, we simply add more boats to the tour. For example, a group of 36 passengers would go on 3 boats. The age limit for this tour is 5 years old. If you have an infant younger than 5 years old, we recommend that parents do a separate departure time. There is plenty of time between tours to switch and FROST Restaurant is a great place to sit and relax while your spouse enjoys the tour.

What to bring
For the Fjallsárlón Zodiac Boat Tour, we always recommend that you dress according to the weather. During summer days, it can be pretty warm out on the lagoon, but when we get closer to winter time it starts to get cold. Our boats are open air Zodiac boats and you will be sailing on a glacier lagoon. You will receive a thick, warm, floatation jacket that will keep you comfortable as well.
Important Information
- Please note that there is an approx. 10 minute walk from the reception area to the boat docking area. This is a scenic walk where you will have a great view over the beautiful Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon and Fjallsjökull glacier. The walk is on gravel so people that have difficulty walking might need assistance.
- In certain weather conditions, we may need to reduce the number of people in each boat as a safety measure. In these extreme cases, large groups may need to be divided between boats or between departure times.
Group bookings

If you have a very large group, 100 people e.g., we would recommend that the group is split in two, where half of the group would join the Classic Boat Tour, while the other half would dine at FROST restaurant. The stop would be around 2 hours in total.
