Are you looking for an adventurous, solitary way to spend an unforgettable night in Iceland? Located on Fjallsarlon Glacier Lagoon, one of Iceland´s hidden gem you will find Aurora Huts or so-called Igloo boats.
Immerse yourself in the spectacular Icelandic wilderness and spend a memorable night on the lagoon. The magnificent view over the glacier lagoon towards Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe is sure to impress even the most experienced traveler!

ABOUT
Each boat can accommodate two persons in a double bed. The boats are designed with comfort and style in mind. Glass walls and glass ceiling offer an exceptional view from inside.
The boats are fitted with a composting toilet, small kitchenette, electricity, and Wi-Fi. Please note that there are no shower facilities available on location. Age limit is 20 years old.
We recommend that guests have dinner before arriving.
During summer appreciate the 24-hour daylight and throughout spring and autumn admire the pristine landscape as twilight falls. Please note that you will be taken to the Igloo boat by a zodiac boat (summer & shoulder season). The hut floats on the lagoon so you will not be able to go on land during your stay!
During winter enjoy stargazing and search for Northern lights from inside the warmth of the hut. During winter the huts will be located on the ice, your transfer is by a 4×4 vehicle.

Aurora Hut is a ground-breaking eco-friendly boat with glass walls and ceiling that can be easily moved from one place to another.
The comfortable, and modern hut can be moved across ice, snow or even water without impacting the nature or surrounding area. We are therefore able to situate them on the glacier lagoon where there will be no light pollution, away from other travelers and traffic.
PRICE
145.000.- ISK for an overnight stay for max two people.
Included in the price is full use of Igloo boat (duvets, pillows, and bedlinen included).
Transport to and from the boat is by an ATV vehicle or Zodiac boat (approximately 10 minutes each way) pending on the season and location of the huts.
