Difficulty rating is easy, you need to be able to walk on gravel path for approximately 5-7 minutes (each way) to the glacial lagoon and your boat. Also, you need to be able to sit unaided in the boat for 45 minutes.
We recommend that you bring a hat and gloves on our tours. In Iceland, the weather can quite unpredictable so dress accordingly. We also recommend that you bring your camera for those priceless photo opportunities!

The safety of our passengers is a top priority! Our sailors are highly trained and well-prepared to respond to any incidents. We’re proud to share that, to date, we’ve sailed without any accidents during our tours so you can rest assured that you are in safe hands. The sailing is quite smooth so healthy pregnant women should feel safe and confident in joining our boat tour.
Yes, Frost restaurant is located on-site offering tasty food at reasonable prices. Frost is a buffet style bistro that offers hot food and salad bar, soups, coffee, cakes, and snacks. No need to prebook, just show up.
Our tours are a small boat adventure that gives you a rich and personal experience without the crowds. We exclusively sail on zodiacs (small boats), we sail close to icebergs towards the glacier. Fjallsarlon lagoon is simply perfect in size for boat tours. We always sail up to the „glacier wall “as safe as it is to go. The glacier at Fjallsárlón is extremely impressive, we call it the Glacier Giant, as it is massive and steep, you truly understand how small we humans really are. At Jokulsarlon you have a larger amphibian boat option which takes you for a 30-40 min. cruise exploring icebergs and then zodiac boats that sail closer to the glacier, the zodiac tour is longer in duration as the lagoon is bigger and you need to cover more distance on the water. You should also expect a lot more people at Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, as it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Iceland. We say go to Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon and take the photo but join our tours for a more personal and private experience.
The difference between tours is that on our Private Boat Tour you have the boat and your guide exclusively for yourself and therefore more flexibility where and how you sail during the tour. Time duration is the same on the Classic Boat Tour.
