Highly recommend this tour because of small size and ability to get up close and personal to the glacier area near the lagoon. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the lagoon and the science around the glacier. Very personalized and much less crowded than the Jokulsarlon lagoon where there were hundreds of people. One of the highlights of our trip. Must do activity!

Great “hidden” gem. We visited both Jokusarlon and Fjallsarlon and liked both. However Fjallsarlon is our prefered cause there were less people and the zodiac tour took us really close to the impressive glacier. The crew at the information center is friendly and really flexible (we arrived quite late but they still managed to put us on a tour). Definitely recommend it.

We decided while researching our trip that we would avoid the heavily trafficked Jokulsarlon boat rides and chose Fjallsarlon instead. Glad we did. The guides fitted us out with floater jackets and life vests. Very professional crew and they took good care of our personal safety. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a good value for your Kroner. We had a fabulous time.
