April – Fjallsarlon Glacier Lagoon Boat Tours

When visiting in April you need to plan your itinerary, activities and tours well as many tour operators have limited or no tours available.

It can be disappointing when visiting a country only to find out later that some activity you planned to do is not available at that time of the year. At Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon for example they only start operating boat tours in May. This is why our glacier tour company always puts a lot of effort into trying to operate boat tours as soon as the lagoon starts to thaw. If you want to book a tour sailing on a glacier lagoon in April, you should check out our CLASSIC ICEBERG BOAT TOUR.

At Fjallsarlon we are open all year round, operating activity tours to fit each season. We offer iceberg boat tours in the summer season and ICE CAVE TOURS during winter season. Frost, our restaurant is open all year around offering buffet style food throughout the day, including during Easter holidays. Although tour operation can on rare occasions be challenging early in the season due to weather, we strive to provide guests with the best service we can offer.

At Fjallsárlón iceberg boat tours we offer adventure boat tours from the beginning of April every year or even in late March depending on the status of the lagoon. We operate an ice cave tour from the beginning of November until the 15th of April. If you happen to be travelling in the first two weeks of April, you have the option of doing both activity tours with our company.

Explore Fjallsárlón with us on a small boat!

Our company is the only company that offers boat tours this time of year as the tour operators at Jokulsarlon Glacier lagoon do not offer tours in April. Fjallsárlón is only 10 minutes’ drive away from Jokulsarlon so do not despair if you had planned to go on a tour in Jokulsarlon. We encourage you to visit Jokulsarlon and take some photos and then come and sail with us at Fjallsárlón. We only sail on small zodiac boats and will happily guide you around the icebergs on Fjallsárlón lagoon.
